People with new diagnoses of cancer face unique challenges in terms of their physical, cognitive and emotional well-being. At Sutter Rehabilitation Institute, we will work with you to manage the side effects of cancer and any impairments that you might have as a result of your cancer treatment.
Intensive rehabilitation after a cancer diagnosis has been shown to lead to better patient outcomes and improved quality of life. Our goal is to provide you with a team that brings together physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers and chaplains. They will help you improve your strength, balance, daily activities, mobility, thinking and communication skills along with providing the support needed to be successful at home. Your loved ones will also receive support and education so they can be an important part of your recovery.
Our staff will work together with you to develop individualized goals and a treatment program designed to address what is most important to you in your recovery.
