If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. You will be transported to the nearest emergency room. If you aren’t experiencing a life-threatening emergency, but need urgent medical care, visit Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s (SRMC) emergency room. Our emergency medical specialist team provides life-saving care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our emergency department is conveniently located on the SRMC campus at 1 Medical Plaza with a dedicated entrance. And with our 2020 expansion, we are now the largest emergency department in the Sutter network. We're strategically located to diagnostic imaging, surgery and critical care areas.
Each emergency department room is designed to create a healing and comfortable environment. During your visit, we want you to not just heal physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. Conveniently located next to the emergency department, our healing garden offers a way for you to experience nature without having to travel far.
In addition, we’re designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. This is an advanced-level certification program that recognizes stroke centers for providing exceptional care to stroke patients.
Some of the common conditions treated in an emergency room include:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Convulsions or seizures
- Difficulty breathing
- Moderate to severe burns or wounds
- Poisoning
- Serious head, neck or back injury
- Severe allergic reactions
- Severe bleeding
- Sudden inability to speak, see, walk or move
- Unconsciousness
Emergency room visits should be reserved for true emergencies. For medical problems that aren’t an emergency, Sutter Roseville offers an Urgent Care Center at 3 Medical Plaza. Urgent care treats broken bones, high fever, moderate cuts or burns, severe sore throats and other conditions that should be seen by a doctor that day.
