When your child is discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), you may be concerned about developmental delays and other health issues. The Whitney Newborn Follow-up Clinic at California Pacific Medical Center, part of the Kalmanovitz Child Development Center, offers outpatient care for former NICU patients with potential neurodevelopmental disorders.
Medical specialists at the Whitney Newborn Follow-up Clinic are committed to the early diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of developmental problems in sick or premature infants. Doctors follow your child through the first two years of life and beyond, as needed. Children are typically seen at least three times during the first few years of their lives.
Our onsite clinic experts include a neonatologist, developmental pediatrician, infant development specialist, clinical psychologist, social worker, pediatric neurologist and audiologist. A social worker is available to assist parents with resources and provide support.
