The Family Advisory Council is a partnership between Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staff and parents who are passionate and committed to supporting NICU babies and their families.
Who We Are
Formed in 2012, the Sutter Family Advisory Council (FAC) is a group of parents who have had a newborn in the Sutter Medical Center NICU. Inspired by our personal NICU experience, we return to help guide you through yours. Our stories may differ, but our hearts remember.
Family Advisory Council Goals
- Serve as advocates for family-centered care in the NICU.
- Provide social and emotional support to families.
- Actively partner with the healthcare team to improve the family experience.
- Represent a parent's perspective on various hospital committees.
- Share resources and support services for parents.
