The Mills-Peninsula Women’s Center, located at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center - San Mateo Campus, offers top medical expertise, advanced technology and personalized care. The first of its kind in the region, the Women's Center provides expert diagnosis, treatment and education for women’s health issues in a beautiful, tranquil environment.
Our women’s health specialists put an emphasis on preventive care to ensure you catch any problems as early as possible. If you need treatment, we partner with you to determine the most effective course of action, preferring non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures whenever possible.
The Breast Center
The Women’s Center includes the Breast Center, opened in 1994, where about 25,000 mammograms are performed per year using the latest 3D mammography technology. The Breast Center hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Specialized Ultrasound Tests
An ultrasound examination uses high-frequency sound waves to create a visual image of structures inside your body. The Women’s Center offers a variety of ultrasound exams, including breast, pelvic, obstetric, hysterosonogram, abdominal, renal and bladder, and thyroid.
