If you have questions about a health condition or medical procedure, you can research answers on your own from a wide range of sources. But it may be difficult to tell if the information is accurate and reflects the latest in medical knowledge.
Sutter Health can help. We offer interactive classes and seminars led by experts who share news and information in a way that’s easy to understand. We also offer programs and support groups on topics including pregnancy and childbirth, joint pain and replacement, and living well with long-term illnesses.
Our support groups provide emotional encouragement and guidance from others in similar situations. We host many different groups, including those for people with a serious illness, caregivers, and people who are recovering from a stroke or other medical event, and their caregivers and family members..
At our Health Resource Centers and Libraries, patient-focused staff can answer your questions and guide you to reliable medical information. Many of our centers also provide additional services including instruction on self-examinations, counseling for advance healthcare directives and more. Existing patients can also directly message their doctor through My Health Online.
Throughout the year, we host and participate in a number of community events including free health screenings, and health and wellness fairs.
