No matter how well prepared you are, it’s inevitable you’ll remember something you wanted to ask long after your medical appointment is over. Sutter care centers have a variety of ways to get you the answers you need through our Health Resource Centers.

The Maino Community Health Library

Open since 1990, the Maino Community Health Library is a free, comprehensive medical library open to all members of our community. The library's resources emphasize understanding and treatment of disease as well as prevention, health and wellness.

You'll find videos, articles, medical journals, books — in both English and Spanish — covering a wide range of health topics. You can also get information about local health agencies and support groups here.

Classes and Events

Throughout the Sutter Health network, we offer a variety of educational opportunities on a wide range of topics, from prenatal care to heart health to weight management. Hosted by experts in their fields, these classes, lectures and events are often free to attend and open to the community.

Health Disparities Research

While some Americans enjoy better health than ever, certain groups of people suffer serious illness more often. Health disparities are found in different racial or ethnic groups, in rural versus urban populations, and in different age groups and genders. Research looks at the complex causes, and studies ways to close the gap.
