Pulmonary specialists at California Pacific Medical Center have deep expertise in treating acute and chronic lung conditions. Our Comprehensive Lung Disease Program is the only one of its kind in the Sutter network. What differentiates us is that all the doctors in our program focus on one or two pulmonary subspecialties, making them true experts in their chosen field. Their wealth of experience ensures that you get the best, most specialized pulmonary care possible from diagnosis and treatment to pulmonary rehabilitation.
Lung disease is more than asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Our team treats an array of complex diseases, including pneumonia, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, pleural diseases and sleep disorders. We also evaluate and treat interstitial lung diseases, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and cystic fibrosis, lung nodules and pulmonary hypertension. In addition, interventional pulmonologists provide both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for airway, pleural, and mediastinal disorders.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as chronic cough, shortness of breath, wheezing or recurrent infections, we offer a full suite of tests and imaging technologies to make an accurate diagnosis. Our labs also provide special equipment for infant and pediatric pulmonary function tests to diagnose our tiniest patients.
In addition to diagnosis and treatment, we offer many educational classes and support groups that can complement your treatment plan and help you improve your health. We also help you prevent lung disease, with lung cancer screenings and our Smoking Cessation Program.
We believe in a multidisciplinary approach. Pulmonologists at CPMC collaborate with a variety of specialists and services through our weekly Diagnostic Thoracic Tumor Board, our monthly multidisciplinary Interstitial Lung Disease Conference, and our monthly multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis Program, which is affiliated with the Stanford University Medical Center. Our team also trains young physicians as part of the CPMC Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program.
