At Sutter Cancer Centers, people at all stages of bladder and kidney cancer receive compassionate, skillful care from a multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, along with radiologists, urologists and specialists in related fields. Through consultative tumor board conferences, these specialists review individual cases and combine their knowledge to create a personalized treatment plan that’s right for you.
Medical specialists at Sutter Cancer Centers provide complete diagnostic and treatment services for kidney and bladder cancer. You have access to diagnostic tools including PET Scan, urine cytology and cystoscopy. Treatment options include chemotherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and immunotherapy and biologics. We also offer minimally-invasive cancer surgery using the da Vinci Xi robotic-assisted surgical system, which assists in the removal of the kidney while ensuring a smaller incision and a shorter recovery time.
Beyond medical care, Sutter Cancer Centers also support you with an array of services, classes, support groups and counseling services designed to help you and your family deal with the emotional stress of cancer. We offer support groups exclusively for patients and others for family members and caregivers. Art therapy, music therapy and oncology nutrition counseling are also available at certain locations. In addition, our cancer nurse navigators are available to guide you through what can be a bewildering array of clinical appointments and services.
