Whether you’re facing a breast cancer diagnosis or looking for screening options, Sutter Cancer Centers offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services. We offer everything from cancer genetic counseling through our Cancer Risk Program to supportive services such as counseling and art therapy.
Diagnostic Tools
Sutter Cancer Centers use digital mammography exclusively, as well as other advanced imaging options including 3-D mammography and thermography. If your doctor finds a lump on your breast, you may have a stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound or sentinel-node biopsy.
Supportive Care
If you do receive a breast cancer diagnosis, we’re here with services that go beyond treating cancer. Our Cancer Nurse Navigators support you from diagnosis through survivorship, helping you understand your treatment options and connecting you with resources that smooth your journey to recovery.
Our in-depth integrative and complementary care services include patient and family counseling, nutrition counseling, music therapy, classes and support groups, as well as compassionate pain management and palliative care services.
Treatments for Your Cancer
At Sutter Cancer Centers, multidisciplinary panels of experts—including radiologists, pathologists, breast surgeons and oncologists—review every breast cancer case together, in meetings called tumor boards, to combine their collective expertise and craft an approach that best fits your individual needs.
In addition to surgical treatments such as mastectomy or lumpectomy, we offer medical oncology and radiation oncology services.
Sutter Cancer Centers in Auburn, Modesto, Roseville, Sacramento and Vallejo are certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer signifying that they meet the stringent guidelines and reporting standards set forth by the commission.
