Clinical trials, often called clinical or research studies, are the front lines of cancer science. By investigating new drugs, devices and therapies, medical researchers discover better ways to treat this pervasive and varied disease. Indeed, most of today’s standard cancer treatments got their start in clinical trials.

PAMF participates in numerous clinical trials. Most of the trials are conducted by the National Cancer Institute or major pharmaceutical companies. We strongly believe in teamwork and communication, which allows us to coordinate the care we give across multiple medical disciplines. Our staff includes principal investigators and oncologists supported by a highly trained research team consisting of registered nurses, research coordinators and ancillary supporting staff. Our program is in partnership with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute.
