f you’ve been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, we’re here to be your advocate.
The Compassionate Peer Advocacy Support Services (COMPASS) program pairs you with a former breast cancer patient who serves as a support person on your journey. As someone who has been through a similar experience with breast cancer, your COMPASS guide helps you navigate the paths you will travel. She helps you understand the disease and medical terminology, provides emotional support, and answers your questions so that you’re free to concentrate on your health and wellness. A COMPASS guide knows what it feels like to be in your shoes.
For more information, please contact the COMPASS Program at (510) 655-4000, ext. 3638. Your doctor can also refer you to our program.
