Edward Huang, MD, MPH, is a physician in department of gastroenterology at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
He investigates the gut microbiome and its effects on gastrointestinal (GI) conditions.
He participates in clinical trials involving fecal microbiota transplantation for the treatment of recurrent C. difficile and ulcerative colitis. In addition, Dr. Huang helps lead retrospective studies on factors affecting the incidence of C. difficile infection.Dr. Huang has authored numerous publications on GI conditions including gastric and duodenal ulcers, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Huang completed an MD at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MPH in Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard School of Public Health. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the UCLA Medical Center, and a gastroenterology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
