Sutter Health Medical Physics Center maintains our office in West Sacramento, California at 1600 Cebrian Street. We understand the importance and complexity of an overall hospital-wide radiation safety program. We continuously review our services and practices to ensure full compliance with state and governmental regulations and programs, JCAHO standards, independent accreditation programs (ACR & ICANL) and hospital/clinic ALARA programs.
For over 40 years Sutter Health Medical Physics Center (SHMPC) has provided comprehensive diagnostic medical radiation physics services to over 200 hospitals, clinics and imaging centers throughout Northern and Central California as well as parts of Nevada. Services include routine physics and accreditation surveys for radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, interventional radiology/cardiac cath lab, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography. Additionally, we can assist with radioactive materials license applications, leak test radioactive sealed sources, decommissioning final status surveys, radiation safety training, calibration and repair of survey meters, diagnostic medical radiation shielding design and certification as well as fetal dose analysis and reports.
Our team includes 4 ABR certified nuclear medicine and diagnostic imaging physicists, certified nuclear medicine tech, 2 physics imaging assistant and an operations coordinator, dedicated to providing you with professional and timely service.
