Sutter Health is helping to bridge the gap in primary care physicians through its three-year Family Medicine Residency Program. Residents work side-by-side with Sutter faculty in a clinic setting, learning a variety of primary care modalities from ambulatory care to innovative practice management. Philanthropy plays a vital role in Sutter Health’s ability to train new physicians by seeking philanthropic partners to invest in four critical funding needs for the Family Medicine Residency Program: Training equipment, curriculum enrichment and development, medical student housing, and an innovative simulation lab.
