Providing a wide range of leading-edge cancer services for patients of all ages in the community, we seek support to enhance the infusion services area, as well as the waiting area for our patients receiving infusion treatments and their families (waiting room is also used by GI and same-day surgery patients). Promoting a relaxing environment reduces stress and anxiety for patients undergoing infusion services, and can be easily achieved by implementing soft blankets, aromatherapy, artwork, backlit skylights, noise-cancelling headphones, and virtual-reality headsets that lower blood pressure. Your support could help to instill peacefulness in our vulnerable patients by bringing thoughtful items that calm their senses, and purchase needed healing items such as ice caps that reduce hair loss.
