If you have questions about a health condition or medical procedure, you can research answers on your own from a wide range of sources. But it may be difficult to tell if the information is accurate and reflects the latest in medical knowledge.
Sutter Health can help. We offer interactive classes, lectures and workshops led by experts who share news and information in a way that’s easy to understand. We also have many in-depth programs on topics including weight loss, pregnancy and childbirth, and cancer.
Our support groups provide emotional encouragement and guidance from others in similar situations. We host many different groups, including those for people with a serious illness, caregivers, and children and teens dealing with grief, loss or their own medical diagnosis.
At our Health Resource Centers and Libraries, patient-focused staff can answer your questions and guide you to reliable medical information. Many of our centers also provide additional services including instruction on self-examinations, bioethics consultations, counseling for advance healthcare directives and more.
Throughout the year, we host and participate in a number of community events including free health screenings, flu clinics and health and wellness fairs.
