If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately to be transported to the nearest emergency room. If you are not experiencing a life-threatening emergency, but need immediate and urgent medical attention, visit Sutter Solano Medical Center’s emergency room. Our team of emergency medicine specialists provides life-saving care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Sutter Solano Medical Center Emergency Department is located at 300 Hospital Drive in Vallejo, and parking is located at the main entrance of the hospital. As a certified “Kid-Qualified” hospital, our contracted staff of emergency physicians utilize innovative techniques that minimize pain and anxiety for children.
In addition, we’re designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. This is the first advanced-level certification program designed to recognize primary stroke centers that make exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke patients.
Emergency room visits should be reserved for true emergencies, such as life-threatening accidents or chest pain. A visit to the emergency room without an actual emergency can be costly and inefficient, and detract medical care from individuals who truly need it. In some cases, a visit to an urgent care center may be more suitable.
Some of the common conditions treated in an emergency room include:
- Difficulty breathing
- Unconsciousness
- Severe bleeding
- Poisoning
- Chest pain or pressure
- Severe allergic reactions
- Moderate to severe burns or wounds
- Convulsions or seizures
- Serious head, neck or back injury
- Sudden inability to speak, see, walk or move
