The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Sutter Coast Hospital offers services to patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions—such as complex hip fractures and joint replacements—and other serious illnesses or traumatic injuries.
Our inpatient rehabilitation facility in Crescent City offers intense, individualized care in an acute hospital setting to help you regain your independence. We understand that you have unique needs and are here to help you recover physically, emotionally and socially.
During your stay, you work with our specialists to optimize your ability to care for yourself through one-on-one therapy, group treatment and recreational therapy. We focus on everyday activities, including bathing, dressing, eating and transferring from one place to another such as from your bed to a wheelchair. If you can put weight on your feet, we also focus on walking and utilize an outdoor therapy area to practice on different types of terrain.
We treat the whole patient by bringing together a team of highly experienced and trained occupational therapists, physiatrists, speech therapists, physical therapists, recreational therapists and other skilled specialists. Your rehabilitation team works with you and your family through every aspect of recovery at Sutter Coast’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. Key services include:
- Stroke Rehabilitation
- Brain Injury Rehabilitation (Adults and Adolescents)
- Spinal Cord System of Care
- Amputation Rehabilitation
Your care team will discuss treatment goals at the start of your stay and will update your goals as you progress.
