Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury or living with a chronic condition, certified physical therapists across the Sutter Health network can help you improve strength, mobility and coordination.
Beginning with a thorough evaluation of your strengths and weaknesses, your physical therapist works with you to set attainable goals and achieve them. During customized sessions, your physical therapist will identify changes in strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, endurance and muscle tone. As needed, he or she will also teach you how to use prostheses, walking devices, wheelchairs or anything else that can help you return to your favorite activities.
In addition, your physical therapist will create a home treatment plan, including flexibility and strengthening exercises, to continue to improve your body’s function and mobility.
