Whether your child needs rehabilitative services for a congenital condition, developmental delay, hospitalization or surgery, pediatric therapy specialists across the Sutter Health network are dedicated to helping your child reach his or her goals. Our network of specialists include physical and occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists.
Working together, our specialists assess each child’s developmental needs, set appropriate goals and create an individualized intervention plan and a home treatment program. We help train and educate parents and caregivers, as well as provide information and referrals to community resources to help your child thrive.
We treat a wide range of conditions including:
- Neurological disorders which may result from cerebral palsy, spinal disorders, seizures, cerebrovascular accidents and traumatic brain injuries.
- Developmental problems including autism, speech and language delays, sensory integration dysfunction, fine and gross motor skill delay, learning disabilities, hearing loss and auditory processing difficulties, oral feeding and swallowing impairments.
- Loss of abilities resulting from burns, a near drowning experience, bone, muscle and joint injuries, and orthopedic or arthritic conditions.
- Pulmonary disorders such as asthma, cystic fibrosis and other chronic respiratory conditions.
