Interventional neuroradiologists use minimally-invasive, image-based techniques to treat the most life-threatening vascular diseases of the brain, head, neck and spine.
At Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, our care team uses this advanced imaging technology to carefully navigate small catheters through the blood vessels in the neck and brain. Using tiny tools that fit within these catheters, interventional neuroradiologists are able to treat brain aneurysms, strokes caused by blood clots, blood vessel malformations, tumors and cysts. Interventional neuroradiologists also provide minimally invasive treatment of spinal compression fractures, often caused by osteoporosis bone loss.
