Stroke is the nation’s leading cause of adult disability, and can take a tremendous toll on your physical and emotional health. If identified early, stroke can be treated with great success. At Sutter Amador Hospital, we provide expert emergency stroke care using advanced imaging technology to quickly and accurately diagnose a stroke and determine the best treatment. Our highly experienced team strives to provide the most innovative and sophisticated care possible to you and your family in a warm, caring environment.
Sutter Amador Hospital is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization that makes recommendations designed to improve hospital safety and patient care.
We also participate in Sutter’s Telestroke Program, which uses video teleconferencing to connect doctors at Sutter Amador with stroke care specialists based at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. The Telestroke Program can facilitate fast transport for patients who need services that are not available locally.
