In 2012, Memorial Medical Center was designated a comprehensive Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®) by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Memorial Medical Center was also named a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by ASMBS in 2008 and was designated an Aetna Institute of Quality Bariatics Surgery Facility for treating individuals living with morbid or extreme obesity.
