The Mills-Peninsula School of Diagnostic Imaging is a recognized leader in preparing highly competent imaging practitioners. Since 1963, the school has had more than 200 graduates who were eligible to take the national certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Radiologic Technology Program
Mills-Peninsula’s Radiography Program is a 24-month continuous program that provides didactic and clinical education in Radiography. Clinical rotations take place at the Medical Center in Burlingame, an acute inpatient facility, and at the Health Center in San Mateo, an outpatient facility that provides a wide range of services including surgery, rehabilitation and diagnostics.
The Mills-Peninsula School of Diagnostic Imaging has been awarded an eight year accreditation by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology from January 2018 until January 1, 2026. The next review by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology is planned for January 2026 unless the JRCERT deems a sooner review is required. Additionally, the Program is approved by the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch as a school for radiographers.
Classes begin each July. Applications are accepted from January 1 to April 1. Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to take the State and National certification examination.
MRI Program
- Start date 12/5 for first cohort. Applications no longer being accepted.
- Applications for next cohort starting in March 2025 now being accepted.
