When you’re pregnant, you may experience everything from giddy excitement to nervous anxiety. Prenatal education classes can help you worry less, providing the information you need to make the best health decisions for you and your baby.
At CPMC, part of the Sutter Health network, we offer a variety of classes, programs, support groups and resources for expectant parents through our Newborn Connections program. We design all of our educational sessions to help you feel confident and healthy during pregnancy and childbirth.
Our prenatal classes and lectures, taught by pregnancy and childbirth experts, include:
- Breastfeeding Classes and Support
- Childbirth Preparation Express
- Childbirth Preparation Intensive
- Childbirth Preparation E-Class
- Pain Relief Options for Labor
- Infant CPR and First Aid
- Prenatal Yoga for Expectant Mothers
- Twins, Triplets and More
We’ve also created programs especially for fathers-to-be, including Expectant Fathers Only, as well as a Sibling Celebration class to help the older children in your family prepare for baby’s arrival.
Once your baby arrives, you can also enroll in a variety of parenting classes—such as Newborn Parenting — or join a support group just for new parents. Our Pregnancy After a Loss Support Group can help you grieve your lost child while preparing for the birth of a new baby.
