Fibroids

To treat fibroids, our team provides medical management, expertise in hysteroscopic resection, and minimally invasive removal of fibroids (myomectomy) with laparoscopic or robotic surgery, as well as minimally invasive hysterectomy.

Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

The treatment options for abnormal or heavy uterine bleeding include:

• Medical management with a variety of hormonal and nonhormonal options.
• Surgical procedures including hysteroscopy to remove intrauterine pathology (including polyps and fibroids).
• Endometrial ablation.
• Minimally invasive myomectomy or hysterectomy, as appropriate.

Our team of clinicians offers on-site diagnostics including in office hysteroscopy, ultrasound and saline sonogram, as well as outpatient minimally invasive surgical interventions.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis is an abnormal growth of the uterine lining tissue outside of the uterus, most commonly on or around other pelvic organs, such as the ovaries, rectum and bladder. Its cause remains unknown, but it’s a common condition among women of reproductive age.

Endometriosis can cause a number of problems, ranging from severe pain during menstruation to ovarian cysts, infertility and abnormal uterine bleeding. Your gynecologist can diagnose the condition by performing diagnostic laparoscopy and remove the endometrial growths. Medical treatment options can enhance symptom relief after surgery or in cases where symptoms are strongly suggestive of endometriosis.

Ovarian Cysts

Not all ovarian cysts require surgical excision, but for those that do (due to size, pain, negative impact on fertility, etc.), gynecologic surgeons offer minimally invasive options. We can help you determine whether a cyst should be clinically followed, left alone or surgically removed.

Prolapse or Incontinence

Our team provides medical and surgical options for the treatment of uterine, bladder or rectal prolapse and female urinary incontinence in collaboration with subspecialists in urogynecology.
