Gestational diabetes affects up to 15 percent of pregnant women. If it affects you, experienced OB/Gyn and maternal-fetal medicine doctors, endocrinologists and certified diabetes educators at Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, can help you learn the skills you need to manage your blood glucose (blood sugar) levels and keep you and your baby healthy throughout your pregnancy, delivery and after birth. We offer additional services including:
- Diabetes and Pregnancy Program (DAPP) — DAPP provides one-to-one care and ongoing support to women who develop diabetes during pregnancy or have diabetes before becoming pregnant. This program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Education (AADE).
- High-Risk Pregnancy Care — The term “high-risk pregnancy” sounds frightening, but it simply means that doctors and other gestational diabetes experts will closely monitor your pregnancy and provide you with training on how to manage blood glucose (blood sugar) levels so that you and your baby can avoid complications.
