Andrew Haskell
M.D.
Andrew Haskell, M.D., specializes in orthopedic surgery (board certified), reconstructive surgery, and sports medicine (board certified). He practices in PAMF's Palo Alto and Redwood City offices. He is Assistant Clinical Professor, University of California San Francisco, and is involved with American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Hospital, and California Orthopaedic Association. My goal as an Orthopedic Surgeon is to relieve musculoskeletal pain and improve function to allow my patients to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. This involves treating recent injuries and fractures, diagnosing and treating chronic problems, and revising problems created by other surgeries. We use a team approach with physician assistants, nurses, orthotists, and physical therapists to meet these goals. Many problems can be diagnosed by taking a careful history and physical exam. When appropriate, we obtain imaging ranging from x-ray to MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, or nuclear scans. Conservative treatment is often the first step, including options such as physical therapy and home exercises, bracing or shoe modifications, and sometimes injections.
