Our service-based programs help meet the needs of patients, families and staff. It's not a job-training program or an internship, nor does it provide medical shadowing or hands-on opportunities. We do not accept court-ordered placements. For a description of the volunteer services, review the Volunteer Service Areas (PDF).
Junior Volunteers
The Junior Auxiliary is open to high school students who are interested in volunteer opportunities. Students must be at least 16 years old by September 1.
Please Note: Applications for Junior Volunteers are only accepted in April of each year and must be dated between April 1-30. Only those whose applications are selected will be contacted.
Benefits of Volunteering
"There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." — John Andres Holmes
Volunteering is a wonderful gift that can be given to patients and the community. Volunteers meet new people, make new friends, use their skills and acquire new ones. They feel a sense of accomplishment and perhaps the most important benefit is the satisfaction of knowing they are contributing to their community and making a difference.
Volunteering at Sutter Roseville Medical Center is fun, rewarding, and it’s a way to make a difference in someone’s life every single day.
Become a Volunteer
Prospective volunteers must complete an application form. If your application is selected, you will be contacted about the next steps. Please note that because of the volume of applications, only those whose applications are selected will be contacted. We request a one year commitment.
Contacted applicants must attend an Informational Session, interview individually with Service Chairs, and complete a Background Check. If selected the applicant must attend a New Member Orientation, which is held quarterly.
