Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteers are an important part of our team of nurses, social workers, home health aides and chaplains who provide compassionate care for people receiving hospice care and help to ease the stress and exhaustion their families deal with.
You can provide family members with a much-needed break for a few hours each week. You might run errands, write letters, provide companionship, read aloud or just listen to the stories from their lives. Other volunteer opportunities to choose from include therapeutic massage, bereavement support, special events, community outreach and office assistance.
Here are just some of the ways Sutter Care at Home volunteers make a difference in peoples' lives:
- Patient support
- Bereavement support
- Transportation services
- Thrift store support
- Office support
- Special events
- Pet therapy
- Massage therapy
Benefits of Volunteering
Who benefits from your help? Your neighbors. Their families. Your friends. Your loved ones. People of every age, ethnic background, and socioeconomic level benefit from your generous gift of time. If you are bilingual, your services will provide an extra measure of comfort and ease.
