How do I prepare for a mammogram?
Wear a comfortable top that’s easy to remove. Don’t use deodorant or antiperspirant on the day of your mammogram. The chemicals can show up as white spots. Try to schedule your exam after your menstrual period when your breasts are not tender.
When should I consider getting mammogram?
The American Cancer Society suggests women at average risk get a screening mammogram at age 45. Women at higher-than-average risk should have the choice to get a mammogram earlier, at age 40. How may I obtain a CD copy of my imaging session?
To request CD's of your images, you can make a request for medical records from the Patient Resources page. When making requests for CD’s from Imaging that are for personal use, the patient will be charged $10.
