Philosophy of Care
I have come to appreciate the tremendous satisfaction and significance of empowering patients with knowledge. My goal is for you to thoroughly understand your symptoms, disease, test results and treatments. I also encourage you to ask questions and utilize me as a resource for furthering your knowledge about your condition. I am a strong believer in intervening before symptoms or conditions appear. Counseling and educating patients about conditions they may be at risk for and helping to create an appropriate preventive plan is one of my essential roles as your physician. I have had the privilege of treating patients from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I strive to respect all beliefs and keep these in context during the course of your medical care. A good physician-patient relationship is in many ways like a good marriage. There should be open communication, honesty and mutual trust between both parties.
