More About This Provider
Dr. Eric Pifer studied biology at Johns Hopkins University, earned his medical degree at Drexel University, and completed his residency at Temple University, where he was elected chief resident.
Dr. Pifer's passion for the highest quality care led him to be a clinical educator and assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania and a two-time chief medical officer who partnered to develop a wide variety of innovative programs, from treating cancer and heart disease to optimizing women's health and brain wellness. He stays on the leading-edge of primary care by employing advanced diagnostics, offering specialized testing, and incorporating technology, such as monitoring devices, to help pinpoint the right solutions.
Dr. Pifer moved into concierge medicine to spend more time with his patients and to employ a broader, team-based approach that offers the best of conventional and integrative therapies while engaging a marquee network of specialists at CPMC, Sutter Health, and beyond.
Dr. Pifer practices internal medicine and skillfully blends advanced diagnostics, exceptional conventional care, and evidence-based integrative medicine to optimize well-being and manage any health challenges that might arise. He offers highly personalized care to patients at San Francisco Concierge Medicine, co-located with the renowned Institute for Health & Healing in Pacific Heights.
Personal Interests
I enjoy sailing on the San Francisco Bay in my sloop, “Farah,” which means “joy” in Arabic, my wife’s first language. I also play guitar, speak passable French, and avidly play chess.
Philosophy of Care
I believe a strong relationship with your doctor can unlock your true capacity for health and healing. It starts by making sure you’re seen, heard, and understood. My care philosophy centers on comprehensive, individualized attention to a small number of patients and includes a whole-person approach designed to empower your health and well-being.
I’ll be your guide to a team-based medical model to provide concierge medicine primary care, second-opinion physician consultations, acupuncture, chiropractic, nutritional consultations, therapeutic massage, integrative psychotherapy, high-quality nutraceuticals, monitoring devices, and more.
