Kayla is originally from New England and came to Santa Cruz to be closer to family and enjoy the outdoors all year round! She trained as a Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife at Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, CT, and worked in New Hampshire and Chicago before making her way to California.

Kayla loves working with women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. She has a particular interest in integrating complimentary alternative medicine into her midwifery practice. Kayla is a Centering Pregnancy facilitator and loves providing prenatal care in the group setting in addition to traditional 1:1 care. She also loves working with teens as they start to seek women's healthcare.
