Help us build the finest cancer center in Santa Cruz County, bringing world-class care from diagnosis through survivorship. Equip physicians with the tools to extend innovative programs and high-quality care to every community member.
This initiative will help ensure that PAMF Santa Cruz has an increasingly comprehensive array of services for detecting cancer and supporting patients throughout their cancer journey.
This multi-year fundraising campaign will make the most innovative diagnostic technologies and treatments available to patients locally, while enhancing programs serving thousands of patients living with cancer, including:
- Prostate Cancer — For the 110 patients newly diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, the BK Spectro Ultrasound & Side Fire Probe reduce radiation exposure and side effects when radiation therapy is required for treatment.
- Gastrointestinal Cancer — The GI Pill Cam and GI Scopes will enable clinicians to better visualize the gastrointestinal tract for improved diagnosis and treatment of a range of conditions.
- Chemotherapy and Cancer Surgery — SMSC’s surgical equipment and operating rooms will be upgraded to better serve cancer patients who require surgery, while new infusion chairs will offer patients more comfortable.
- Survivorship and Supportive Services — Donor contributions help to provide care bags, navigation services, education and support classes, and a Language Interpretation Video Center for improved care of non-English speaking patients.
