Transportation doesn’t always have to mean jumping in the driver seat of your car and putting the key in the ignition by yourself, there are so many other options. With biking, public transit and carpooling there are a ton of ways to get to where you need to go. SSRRH offers its employees — and people seeking care — a variety of choices and incentives for choosing to commute through alternative transportation and electric vehicles.
Electric Vehicles
People commuting via 100 percent electric vehicles will benefit from the use of close-in parking spaces, marked for EV and carpools, along with the use of free charging stations. SSRRH's level two EV charging stations supply full charges in three hours and are compatible with all plug-in electric vehicles.
Carpools for Staff
Staff choosing to carpool keep Sonoma County green. We appreciate your efforts and will on a daily basis buy coffee, or other beverages, for people that carpool and provide close-in parking spots.
Sonoma County Transit (Bus)
Employees commuting to Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital may use their employee ID badge in lieu of fare on the Sonoma County Transit line for free bus travel to and from work.
Bicycle
Special accommodations and incentives for commuting cyclists include on-site lockers/showers, close-in and covered bike parking, a cabana with workstation, tools and pumps and a free annual membership to the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition.
Guaranteed Ride Home
Should an emergency situation or illness arise for any of those using alternative transportation to work, a taxi cab ride home will be provided. Please complete the linked request form and pick-up your cab ride and voucher at the Security office, adjacent to the Emergency Department.
Recognition Program
We're proud of our alternative transit users. A recognition plaque is posted in the bike cabana along with regular acknowledgements in SSRRH's Grapevine Newsletter.
General Employee Parking
Staff parking areas have been designated on the Employee Parking Map. Employee vehicles must display a parking permit or placard. Please do not park under the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts solar covered spaces or immediately across from the Operations Service Center as vehicles are subject to tow.
