One-Stop Assistance Center

Beginning Aug. 8, a local assistance center will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at Shasta High School, 2500 Eureka Way in Redding. Bring a photo ID, household income information and insurance documents. For people without identification, DMV will be available to issue duplicates of photo IDs and driver’s licenses.

California Employment Development Department can provide temporary unemployment benefits to people whose jobs are directly impacted by the fires. Affected individuals may apply online here https://www.edd.ca.gov/Unemployment/UI_Online.htm or file a claim by phone at (800) 300-5616. Many more state services will be available at this site.

• Shasta County 911: SHASCOM (the Shasta Area Safety Communications Agency) is a joint powers agency that provides 9-1-1 and dispatch services for the Anderson Police Department, the Redding Police and Fire Departments, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, and the County’s EMS providers.
