Philosophy of Care
Hello and welcome to my Web page! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, share a little about my background and philosophy of care.
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to California when I was 11. I went to Addison Elementary School and Jordan Middle School in Palo Alto before we moved to San Francisco where I went to high school.
Right after I'd completed my medical training, I found my dream job at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) where I continue to see my pediatric patients. PAMF has been a leader in medical care for more than 80 years. It's an honor to be a small part of such a legacy.
Establishing long-term relationships with my families and their children, as they grow from newborns to young adults, is what is most important to me. Through these relationships I encourage children to learn healthy behaviors. My aim is for children to learn to see their doctor as their partner - a "healing" partner in times of illness and a "healthy lifestyle" partner helping them create lifelong healthy habits.
At PAMF, I help direct our immunization program. Vaccine recommendations change yearly and I keep our staff up-to-date on any changes. While I feel strongly about the importance of immunizations, it's equally critical for physicians to take time to help parents understand the reason for each vaccine.
I am interested in all aspects of Pediatrics. I have a special interest in immunizations, international adoption and multiple births. I have cared for many twins and triplets and a set of quadruplets.
My family and I have lived in Palo Alto for more than 20 years. My wife teaches at a local school and my two children are recent graduates from the Palo Alto school district. My hobbies include musical theatre, hiking, baseball and history.
I look forward to long, healthy relationships with you and your children.
