Philosophy of Care
Our goal in the Allergy and Immunology Department is to control and prevent problems by helping you identify and avoid those factors that trigger your or your child's symptoms. When that approach doesn't work, we then work with you to find the most effective treatments to help control the symptoms. This might include various medications or, perhaps, allergy shots (immunotherapy). Allergy shots work very well for most patients with allergies, and can sometimes help clear up the allergy symptoms permanently. By working together, we can usually identify an approach to managing the condition that is both safe and effective.
