Philosophy of Care
I take care of people when they are in the hospital, a time which is stressful, anxiety-provoking and potentially isolating. The most crucial person in the clinical team is the person in the hospital gown, and I strive to inform, consult, and discuss important care plans with my patients and with their family members regularly and often. My goal is always to provide the highest quality care, delivered in a personal and compassionate manner to maximize people's health and minimize their time of disability and illness. I strive to make complex medical decisions in the best interests of my patients and with their collaboration. I believe that if providers can keep the best interests of their patients in mind, they will provide the best care to the people and the communities they serve.
