Community Activities
Dr. Moon is an official medical provider for the US Ski Team and provides care for Olympic athletes during international competition. He has also worked with Operation Access to provide free surgical care to those in need.
Personal Interests
Dr. Moon enjoys hiking, sailing, snowboarding, cooking, guitar, drums, golf and tennis.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Moon is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in treatment of the hand and upper extremity. He completed his residency at the University of Washington in Seattle including extensive orthopedic trauma training at Harborview Medical Center, the only level one trauma center servicing five states in the pacific northwest. Dr. Moon then completed fellowship training in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, the number one orthopedic hospital in the nation as ranked by US News and World Report. Dr. Moon believes in patient centered care, patient education, and shared decision making. His goal is to fully restore both form and function in a caring and compassionate environment. As an avid hiker, snowboarder, golfer, and musician he understands the importance of a quick recovery and returning to an active and healthy lifestyle. Dr. Moon's philosophy is to attempt non-surgical treatment whenever possible. However, if surgery is necessary he employs the most current evidence-based techniques and technology to achieve the best outcomes.
