More About This Provider
Dr. David D. Yeh is a board certified neurosurgeon in the San Jose and the South Bay community. He grew up in San Jose and attended Oak Grove High School. From there, he graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Instead of a career in Engineering, he chose the field of medicine and attended St. Louis University Medical School.
Dr. Yeh spent seven years after medical school training in training in the field of neurological surgery. He completed his Neurosurgical residency training with the Mayfield Clinic at the University of Cincinnati. He also graduated with Advanced Training (Fellowship) in complex spine surgery and epilepsy surgery. He has published multiple medical articles, presented in multiple medical societies, and has been involved in numerous public educational symposiums.
After completing his training, Dr. Yeh spent a year in private practice in Chico, CA and then moved back to the San Jose area in 2007. Dr. Yeh treats all disorders of the brain and spine. His special interests reside in brain tumors, minimally invasive spine surgery, advanced instrumentation, deformities, degenerative diseases of the spine, and neuro/spinal oncology. He is currently one of the founding members of South Bay Brain & Spine and works closely with Drs. Kenneth Blumenfeld and Ali Shirzadi. He has built a solid reputation in this community and is well respected amongst his peers.
