Philosophy of Care
I am actively involved in the field of orthopedic medicine at the national level, teaching other surgeons how to best care for their patients' hand problems through scholarly writings and lectures.
I was the co-editor of an issue of Hand Clinics, which was dedicated to the treatment of distal radius (wrist) fractures, a common injury to the wrist. I regularly speak at national meetings, including the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, lecturing on the treatment of scaphoid fractures of the wrist.
I have also authored or co-authored publications on the complications of distal radius fractures and principles of treatment of distal radius fractures. I have also published on emerging treatments for scaphoid fractures.
